UNYF PROGRAMMES


  1. Setting up of UNYF Student Network (SNET).
  2. Setting up of UNYF Youth Network (YNET).
  3. Setting up of Global Student & Youth Network (GNET).
  4. Conduct Class-room based teaching, Inter-School UN Quizzes, Art Exhibitions, etc., to educate the student members of UN Clubs on Ideals and Principles of UN System and its Global and Local roles.
  5. Conduct leadership training to UNYF registered Member Organizations.
  6. Teach Best Practices in the administration activities of an UN Club.
  7. Conduct Practical Approach to Project Management Methodologies for the student members of UN Clubs.
  8. To provide technical assistance for the UNYF Member Organizations to directly apply for Project Funding from UN Agencies and other Local and International Donor Agencies.
  9. To issue Recommendation Letters for the UNYF Member Organizations to receive external funding and for UNYF to provide advice, monitor the project progress and to assist the Student Members in their project documentation and sign-off.
  10. To obtain any Government or Muncipal permits/approvals/supports/waivers for the UN Clubs in Schools to proceed with their planned project activities.
  11. Encourage, advice and engage the private-sector institutions to setup Technical/Vocational Training Institute for underprivileged Youth and assist them to be selected for local and/or foreign employment, as well as to provide various sponsorships and technical assistance for UN Clubs.
  12. To provide IT Education and Training to Rural Children.
  13. To provide Infrastructure facilities such as Classrooms, Hostels, a homes for the less fortunate children to attend to school with lowest absenteeism.
  14. To provide School Uniforms, Books and shoes to children in remote villages.
  15. To provide medical insurance for Students in areas with less facilities or in war-zone.
  16. To provide Emergency Humanitarian Assistance for families with children and Children without Parents.

UNYF FUTURE PROGRAMMES


To restructure and setup a new UNYF Council with leaders of the people to strategically plan and control UNYF expanded activities for the benefit of the people of United Sri Lanka. 

Exapand UNYF Professional Services and Project Activities to Regional Level.

Engage with the Government of Sri Lanka in planning, monitoring and implementing Nation Building Activities which brings cultural, social and economical benefits to the Families, Youth and Children. 

Expand UNYF Services and Activities to new Student and Youth Networks in Regional/Provincial level.

Promote, Co-ordinate and Support 'Government-Private Sector-NGO Mid-term and Long-term Initiatives in United Sri Lanka Development Projects and Programs.

To establish a Headquarters in Sri Lanka for SAARC Confederation of UNYF.
